Open the Mr.Road app
Make sure you're signed in with the phone number whose account you want to delete.

Go to Settings → Privacy → Delete my account
You'll see a screen explaining what will be deleted. Read it carefully — this can't be undone.

Confirm with OTP
We send a one-time code to your phone to confirm it's really you. Enter the code, tap Delete.

Done
Your account is immediately deactivated. Permanent deletion completes within 30 days.
Option B · By email
If you can't open the app (lost your phone, uninstalled already), email us:

In the email, include:
- Your phone number registered with the app (including +91)
- Optional: reason for leaving — helps us improve
We'll send you an OTP to verify you own the number, then process the deletion within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account record (phone number, name, email if provided)
- All vehicles you saved to your garage
- Your payment history and receipts
- Your notification preferences
- Any opt-ins for community contribution, marketing, etc.
- Any other data tied to your account
What is retained (and why)
We retain a small amount of data even after account deletion, only as required by law or for fraud-prevention:
- Anonymised transaction records — payment intent timestamps without your phone number, for accounting / tax compliance. Retained 8 years per Indian tax law.
- Logs of the deletion itself — when it happened, that it was confirmed, the IP that requested it. Retained 90 days for fraud-prevention.
- Anonymised app analytics — feature usage counters that were never linked to your identity. These can't be deleted because they don't contain you.
Timing
- Within seconds — your account is deactivated. You can't sign in.
- Within 24 hours — your data is purged from active databases.
- Within 30 days — your data is purged from encrypted backups.
- After 30 days — recovery is no longer possible.
What if I change my mind?
In the first 7 days after deletion request, you can email delete@mrroad.in to cancel the deletion. After 7 days, recovery becomes increasingly difficult; after 30 days, it's impossible.
